East Side Senior Services
Along with nine other East Side congregations, Lake Park Lutheran Church sponsors Eastside Senior Services (ESS) both with financial support and by providing a volunteer base. ESS, an Interfaith neighborhood outreach program is also a United Way agency that provides caring volunteers who assist older adults with friendly visits, shopping, seasonal chores, telephone reassurance and transportation to medical appointments. ESS also connects older adults and their family and friends with community services such as meal sites, adult day care, housing, respite, nursing homes and health and spiritual needs. Any older adult (60+) living within the upper or lower East Side of Milwaukee is eligible for ESS assistance. Eastside Senior Services is always looking for volunteers to help with assisting older adults or with fundraising efforts.
