Sunday Worship Schedule:
- Every Sunday at 8am (chapel service with conversation and communion) and 10am (full service with sermon and communion)
- Fellowship at 11am
- Sunday School and Adult Forum will resume in September.
As the swirling of the Pentcost spirit brings warmth to our neighborhood we begin to relax spiritually.
Have you ever come to worship barefoot? At Lake Park it might be fine to do. And you’d be in a strong theological tradition doing it… “Take off your shoes, this is Holy Ground.” Coming to church barefoot is more a spiritual attitude, than a physical reality. Can you come to church in this season relaxed, ready to learn, ready to hear, ready to be confronted by the word of God as it warms and grows the world? Join us for worship this summer.
July 6th - Eighth Sunday After Pentecost
Join us for worship this 4th of July Weekend and contemplate what it means to be a citizen of God’s spiritual nation where preferences are not given based on nationality of family, but God’s love is truly democratic and equitable in its care. Our service will end with a sending off the of High School Group on their summer trip! It’s time for some swimming in Lake Superior!
July 13th Ninth Sunday After Pentecost
Join us and invite a friend to worship with you for trip reflections from our high school youth during the sermon time. They will even sing a song they composed. This service is always a highlight of the summer!
July 2oth Tenth Sunday After Pentecost
Lake Park Worship in the Park. Our congregation is blessed to be bordered by one of our earth’s greatest beauties…Lake Michigan. Let’s get closer to the lake and thank God for it! We meet at 10AM in Lake Park Area #6. This service is followed by a cookout. Families are asked to bring a side dish to pass and their own place settings (plates, forks, cups, etc.) and we’ll get the grills fired up with all sorts of good summer eats! All are welcome!
July 27th Eleventh Sunday After Pentecost
It’s Downer Days Weekend and our neighborhood on the East Side Celebrates. Join us for a worship celebration as well! We’ll have ice cream on the lawn and learn about the love of God. We’ll also sing your favorite hyms as it is hymn sing Sunday.

July 2nd - We will join our partners at All People’s for a cookout during their Summer Family Night. Grills fire up at 4:30PM and dinner starts at 5:30. If you can help prepare food, please give Erica a call at the church office.
July 26th - Join us at Downer Days! We’ll set up a booth in the mid-late morning near the Associated Bank on Downer Ave. Musicians will of course serenade us as we say hello to all our East Side neighbors!
August 1st - Our Pastoral Intern Arrives. Join us as we welcome Kim Knowle!
