Adult Educational Opportunities
There are a number of special and unique opportunities for adult education available this spring at Lake Park. Some take place between services on Sunday morning, others throughout the week. If you have a thirst for learning, come and drink in the intellect, experience, of our pastoral and lay leaders.
Summer nights with Theresa
Remember Augustine? Remember Luther?
Well, this summer we’ll learn from an amazing woman theologian… Theresa of Avila. This August continues the tradition of meeting Sunday evenings at the Dragseth home, sharing a meal, and discussing a great theologian of the church. We’ll meet 6-8pm, for three Sundays starting August 15th.
Teresa was a leader of the counter-reformation in Spain. When once asked what it took to reform a church, she answered, “get a small group of people together, pray the Lord’s Prayer slowly…repeat…reform will come.”
Her beautiful writing, her keen insight to reform, and her fiesty humour are a delight to read.
Look for more information at the beginning of August. We’ll choose one of Teresa’s works and dig in!
