Congregational Coordinator, Erica Chappelear
Erica Chappelear serves as Congregational Coordinator and helps members find ways to meet others and get more involved at Lake Park Lutheran Church. Her work also involves technical aspects of church life, like maintaining the website and email contact lists, as well as connecting with other congregations in Milwaukee and beyond!
Erica is originally from Plymouth, Wisconsin and came to Milwaukee to study architecture at UW-Milwaukee. After completing her Bachelors of Science degree in Architectural Studies she worked in a Milwaukee architecture firm and then at UW-Milwaukee in admissions counseiling and training student leaders for the freshman orientation program. She began working fulltime at Lake Park Lutheran Church in April of 2008.
Erica enjoys gardening in her yard, biking, running, playing tennis, and occasionally playing the French Horn. Erica and her husband Eric also enjoy spending time with their cat, Mozart and dog, Georgia and traveling to new places. After being married in the Wisconsin State Capitol building, she hopes to eventually visit all 50 state capitols.
She is beginning diakonia course work this fall through the Greater Milwaukee Synod of the ELCA. Diakonia is a two year series of courses that focus on spiritual formation and theological education for baptized members of the Lutheran Church.
Contact Erica by email or call the office to set up a time to chat over one of her favorite beverages, coffee!
