Lutheran Campus Ministry (Corner House)
Lutheran Campus Ministry is a welcoming community where Love is expressed and found. Lutheran Campus Ministry seeks to help students grow in a faith that addresses their head, heart, and hands. It is a place to explore the intellectual questions of faith and how it intersects with science, other religions, and issues of peace and justice. It is a place where the yearnings of the heart are met in worship, spiritual conversation, and vocational direction. It is a place where faith can be active and grow in service to the local community and through spring break service trips in other areas of the country. And most importantly, it is a place where students, at a transitional time in their lives, can find a pastor, caring adults, and friends that want to know all of who they are—head, heart, and hands—and develop relationships with them through laughter and play, support and prayer, and a deep understanding that will last a lifetime.
Lake Park Lutheran is a valued partner of The Corner House – Lutheran Campus Ministry at UWM. Lake Park members have supported The Corner House with food, prayer, music, and supportive relationships with students. Students have also found Lake Park to be a vibrant community in which to worship, work with children, learn, and sing.
