This Lent Lake Park will read together a book on biblical heroes. Fools, Liars, Cheaters and Other Bible Heroes takes a look at biblical saints from the perspective of their humanity.

Each chapter focuses on a different biblical character seen through the lens of their often broken humanity and how it is used by God to bring healing and salvation. We will read the book together and then, each Wednesday Night in Lent we will engage one biblical hero along with our partners in ministry throughout Milwaukee.

The book can be purchased online or through our local Downer Bookseller, Boswell Books. Just look for “Lake Park Book Club.” If you’d like a free copy of the book, just talk to the staff and we’ll make sure you get one.

Lenten Midweek Worship

6:00 p.m Conversation about the weekly biblical hero over soup and bread in the Chapel/Mary Martha Room.

We’ll start with conversation and move into a short midweek worship with guests throughout Lent.

Join us for worship this Ash Wednesday, Feb. 14th at noon or 7:00 p.m.

We enter Lent holding the 40th anniversary of Holden Evening Prayer as we sing it’s liturgy around the imposition of ashes.
