Once you’ve worshiped at Lake Park, you’ll see how much we love music. Everything from pipe organ to slide guitar, Bach to Bob Dylan might be heard during a worship service!

Choir
The Choir exists to sing for the Glory of God by providing choral music of many styles and genres for our liturgies and ceremonies. Through our shared gifts and love of choral music, we are a small faith community within the larger Lake Park congregation, dedicated to serving each other with fun, laughter, prayer, and most of all, singing!
Our current choir has around 20 members and is seeking more voices for all parts (soprano, alto, tenors and basses). We meet on Wednesday evenings from 7:15 to 8:30PM during the academic year (September through early June) and perform on average two times a month.
If committing to an entire choir season is difficult, we can make arrangements for you to sing for a half season or perhaps just during a liturgical season like Advent/Christmas or Lent/Easter. Child care is available on most Wednesdays, so it is possible to bring your kids, sing and get them home by 9PM for bed. We have sung upbeat gospel songs, contemporary liturgical music compositions to motets from the renaissance, and the works of other classical composers like Bach and Mozart.
Bell Choir and Junior Bell Choir
The mission of the Ding-a-Lings Bell Choir is to make music for the glory of God and have a ton of fun doing it while creating an opportunity to grow in Christ and community.
The Ding-a-Lings is open to anyone high school age and up. Although some ability to read music is very helpful, it is not a requirement..
We rehearse Monday evenings from 6:30-8PM starting during the program year, and we play in church about once a month.
Junior Bell Choir comes together occasionally throughout the year and is open to youth grades 5-12 and meets every other Monday from 7-8PM during the program year.
Special Instrumentalists and Soloists
Beyond our music leadership we are blessed as a community to have so many other talented members. From our high school youth to adults who still drag around their trusty tuba (Pastor David) and vocalists galore we encourage the sharing of gifts in worship and at other special events. Laurie Rappa, Choir Director and Worship Committee Chair, coordinates the scheduling of these musicians.
